[edit] Description
One of the 'Field Modification Packages' employed by Theodore Kurita after the Outreach Conference to supply his forces with new technology that didn't require extensive technician training and a full refit/repair bay, this variant added new bite to an already feared 'Mech: the Hunchback.
[edit] Armament
Keeping the original 'Mechkiller' assault autocannon but vastly increasing the size of the ammo bay, the HBK-4K uses that space to double the size of the shells that the Hunchback can carry. This allows it to carry custom shells that either have vast Armor-Piercing qualities or allow for limited guidance Precision ammunition. Both Medium Lasers have been upgrade to the pulse variety, while the newly installed double heat sinks give the design the weight savings and heat dispensing capabilities that it needs. The original's head mounted Small Laser has been removed in favor of armoring the ammo bays with CASE

The goal of the design is to give the massive AC/20 custom ammo rather then using an LB-X or ultra version. It also comes with the free DHS upgrade that so many good designs need to make them that much better.
