[edit] Purpose

This template attempts to prompt updating of an article when it has been identified as needing updating by an Editor otherwise unable to do so.


[edit] Usage

  • Place the bolded code below on top of the article's page:
{{subst:Update|source title|month year}}
  • Replace source title with the article name of the new source material (there is no need to wiki-link it) and month year with the actual month name and year the tagged was placed.


[edit] Note

This template banner may have been replaced by {{Update Needed|1}}, which provides more details about the source material that can be used to update the article. This original Update template would be useful for articles that have more than one source available for new information.
