Description
The Daedalus is a Solaris VII BattleMech, which was developed from a original PHX-1 Phoenix Hawk in middle of the 31st Century. Innovative Design Concepts originally, taken the Hawk design updated with several missile racks and then newly developed Large Pulse Laser. While utilizing speed to keep the design maneuvering out of tight situations.
The performed well during initial introduction, the design's edged over competition began to waned as newer technology were introduced. Innovative Design Concepts, revamped Daedalus in later 3060s. While its original design by 3067 had been only seen in use Solaris' Reaches and poor game circuits, the newer version of the 'Mech has only been utilized by Blackstar Stables.[2]
Armament
The Daedalus' main armament is its Tronel XIV-EXP Large X-Pulse Laser, which is backed up by four Ramtech 1500Z ER Medium Lasers and two Magna Mk IV ER Small Lasers.
Variants
- DAD-4A - This variant removes the X-Pulse Laser and three ER Medium Lasers and replaces them with two Streak SRM-4 launchers and one Streak SRM-6 launcher. It also carries a supercharged engine, but at the loss of one and a half tons of armor. BV (1.0) = ??, BV (2.0) = 1,466[3]
- DAD-4B - This variant replaces the Streak SRM-4 launchers and replaces them with Medium Pulse Lasers and adds a heat sink and a ton of armor, but loses the Triple Strength Myomer. BV (1.0) = ??, BV (2.0) = 1,431[4]
