Attack fighter is a combat role performed by certain models of fighters, both aerospace and conventional, with a primary mission of air-to-ground attack.[1][2]
Description[edit]
Attack fighters are medium or heavy fighters mounting heavy firepower, but limited in maneuverability or armor (or both). The short-range nature of their weapons and the relative slowness of their airframes make the units the best suited for ground attack roles.[1][2]

In Alpha Strike, a unit is identified as an Attack Fighter when it meets the following standards[1]:
Speed: Slow
Range: Short
Special: no requirements
