Gray Noton - Early 31st Century, Mechwarrior, mercenary, Information Broker, and Solaris VII Champion. He is half Lyran & half Marik in nationality.[1] He physically large muscular man, bald, with bullneck.[2]

Character History

After winning his Solaris Championship in Class 5 arena, he & his Rifleman given the nickname Legend-Killer.[3] Shortly after earning his Championship, he became a information broker and also doing casual

Noton was recruited by Capellan Confederation in late November of 3026. To raid former Liao world of Kittery, lost in during end of Third Succession War. Leading battalion of Cicada BattleMechs, Noton has his forces to surround the cadre and attempt smash the unit. However, he kept from participating in battle by Mechwarrior piloting Valkyrie light 'Mech. Whom keeps him tied up for battle and damages his Rifleman heavy mech as his battalion is surprisingly repulsed by well trained cadets. He does manage to shoot down and savage Valkyrie. With long odds for victory, he and remains forces of his battalion withdraw from the planet.

Noton meets with his Liao contact Tsen Shang in January 15th 3027 in Thor's Shield hall in Valhalla to be informed that he had fought and defeated Major Justin Allard whom been piloting Valkyrie he encountered on Kittery. Privately, Noton was impressed by Allard's skill and regrets sparing his life once he heard that no longer able to pilot BattleMech. Shang arranges Noton's payment for his mission by arrange rigged fight between Davion champion Philip Capet and Teng brothers (Fuh & Sze).

Noton later deals with Baron von Summer, Enrico Lestrade, nephew of Aldo Lestrade whom contacts him to plan and execute hijacking of a Monarch Class Dropship named the Silver Eagle. He also encounters Countess Kym Sorenson with him, almost thinking she was Mechwarrior. He arranges after Countess left demands the baron for more than he was authorized to pay for, sighting huge risks of hijacking a Dropship.[4] Objective the kidnapping is to disrupt plans for upcoming Davion-Steiner alliance.

He later confronts Capet who he dismisses the fight, unworthy of watching. Capet whom now has won 13 fights in row, daring him Gray to fight him. Noton simply replying that he does not care for Capet's ego or his hatred of Capellans, but to make sure stay away from him or he would come back to kill him.

In February Enrico invites to a stadium box where he hosting a party. Noton is paid by Enrico fee for his future mission with a 50,000 C-Bill betting ticket for Billing Wolfson to beat Fuh Teng in BattleMech game match. Noton, knowing the game is rigged, accepts the fee. He meets Kym Sorenson in party, which comprising of Solaris Gaming Commission. This is where he meets Justin Xiang, whom had secretly replaced Fu Teng in his Vindicator and defeated Wolfson. Since Enrico invited the winner of the battle before the fight began, Noton comes into contact with Justin Xiang taken Fuh Teng's place and defeated Wolfson in Hermes II BattleMech. Noton is angered by the win, losing his 50, 000 c-bill fee and that he would not be able get a reimbursement from tight-budgeted noble.

As Enrico had invited the "winner" of the match to both special box at the Stadium, Noton meets Justin Xiang in person for first time.

Tsen Shang discovers the body of May 5th in his office with his neck snapped.
