In BattleTech, Cygnus may refer to:
- Cygnus (BattleMech), the 95-ton BattleMech
- Cygnus (system), the planetary system (with no established connection to the real-world Cygnus constellation or its associated systems, see below)
In the real world, Cygnus is also Latin for "swan," and in astronomical terms generally refers to the nonfictional astronomical constellation known as Swan. Several stars and astronomical features relating to this constellation have been mentioned in BattleTech canon, though it should be noted that their location, distance from earth or even nature does not always correspond with their nonfictional namesakes:
- Cygnus X-1
- Deneb (Alpha Cygni, not to be confused with Deneb Algedi, Deneb Kaitos, or Denebola) has a Union-class DropShip named after it, but seems to have not actually been mentioned as a star in BattleTech
- Albiero in BattleTech may be meant to be Albireo (Beta Cygni)
- Sador (Gamma Cygni)
- Gienah (Epsilon Cygni)
- Deep periphery maps in Interstellar Expeditions: Interstellar Players 3 also feature the Cygnus Loop (marked as an area of space ca. 1,400–1,500 light years from Earth, p. 50) and the Swan's Eye cluster (marked as an area of space ca. 900 light years from Earth, pp. 62, 76, and briefly mentioned on p. 70 as the "M39 Open Cluster, also known as the Swan's Eye")
