Shelly Crown was, as of 3136, a staff member in the Irian Technical Training School imaging department.[1]

In April 3136, after footage of an unknown BattleMech - later identified as the Ares - had been made available on LinkNet, Irian Technical Training School faculty member Dr. Ivan Kjellsdottir released an analysis of the footage conducted with his students. The analysis suggested that the unknown 'Mech weighed between 125 and 175 tons. Fellow staff member Crown was the point of contact for anyone interested in purchasing the article.[1]
