Transport is a combat support role performed by certain models of craft, both aerospace and airborne, with a primary mission of conveying material to or from the battlefield.

Description

Transports are either airborne or aerospace assets that transfer troops and materials—such as munitions, equipment, and food—between the rear areas and the battle front. The role may be applied to DropShips, small craft, airships, and fixed-wing support vehicles, though rarely to fighters.

Game Description: Alpha Strike

In Alpha Strike, a unit is identified as a Transport when it meets the following standards:
Speed: Any
Range: Any (no attack requirements)
Special: any of the transport bay special abilities
