Who am I?

My first exposure to BattleTech was in 1995 with the purchase of MechWarrior 2. I remember buying this game while I was on holidays and looking through the manual at all the Mechs and Factions it talked about. From then I was hooked. I went and purchased the Warrior Trilogy and several of the TRO's. It was a while before I bought my own copy of the game, and I don't get to play it enough.

For me, BattleTech is more than just a wargame, more than just a Win95-reboot-to-dos-mode PC game, more than just a trilogy. It is something that I can read, play, immerse myself and get lost in. It is my all-time favourite science-fiction universe. From the history of the Star League, to the Succession Wars, the Clan Invasion, and the Jihad. Complete with legendary units, impressive characters, political intrigue, star-spanning warfare, in-universe canon rumour, and more; what other universe has such depth?

I have collected all but one of the FASA/Roc novels. I have about 50 of the Rule/Source-Books and an trying to collect more. I have 140+ metal minis, which is nowhere near enough, of course.

Why am I here?

I have been using the BattleTech wiki since not long after it's creation. Hopefully I can contribute something back to the wiki that has been so useful to me.
