• January 1st - Word of Blake forces attack Luthien, creating a three-way battle involving Kokuryu-kai rebels and Draconis Combine troops loyal to Theodore Kurita
• January 21th - Word of Blake forces attack Tukayyid, devastating the ComGuard troops stationed there, as well as the 1st Royal BattleMech Regiment of the Star League Defense Force and the 21st Centauri Lancers, ComGuard WarShips Hammerstrike and Blake’s Vengeance destroyed.
• Elements of the Free Worlds League's Sirian Lancers assault Skye to foment chaos for the Word of Blake.
• Duke Robert Kelswa-Steiner of Skye declares war on the Free Worlds League.
• Case White, composed of roughly eleven ComGuard divisions and led by Precentor Martial Victor Steiner-Davion, fails to conquer Terra from the Word of Blake. Two nuclear devices are set off, one in Riga and one in Houston.
• January 4th - Word of Blake attacks Dieron, decimating the elements of the SLDF Eridani Light Horse there, as well as the Combine garrison.
• Caesar Steiner, Margrave of the Cavanaugh Theater, is assassinated. Bolan Province joins Skye's attack on the Free Worlds League.
• Word of Blake conquers Solaris VII.
• Kai Allard-Liao is taken to New Syrtis by The Bounty Hunter.
• Duke George Hasek of the Capellan March launches Operation: Sovereign Justice, which is a three-pronged assault aimed at gaining a buffer for the St. Ives Compact to be free once more.^[1]
  • A WarShip bombards Sian, killing Duchess Candace Liao and driving Chancellor Sun-Tzu Liao into hiding. The attack is initially believed to be from a FedSuns WarShip, but it was actually a Blakist attack. The attack galvanized Confederation.

• Capellan Confederation's military regent Sang-jiang-jun Talon Zahn launches Operation: Thunderstrike as counter-invasion against House Davion's Capellan March's Operation: Sovereign Justice.^[2]
  • Jie Fang Legion is destroyed in First Wave in August by elements of the Death Commandos and the 5th Confederation Reserve Cavalry.
  • Blackwind Lancers hearing news of Duchess Liao's death turns on its former Hasek allies on Ares; The Lancers destroy 85% of 5th Syrtis Fusiliers.
  • Thunderstrike's three main Task Forces (Task Force Shen Lung, Task Force Light Horse, & Task Force Vengeance) are finally assembled to conduct three prong invasion re-take captured worlds and invade Federated Suns.
  • October; Second Wave of Thunderstrike launches; Task Forces hit captured worlds.
  • 13th Division of Word of Blake assaults world of Kittery in November as "part of" Operation: Thunderstrike's 2nd Wave.^[3]
    • The 13th Division destroys both the Kittery Borderers and Kittery Training Battalion.
    • Kittery falls to Blake under the guise of being held name of the Capellan Confederation.

• Clan Snow Raven attacks the Draconis Combine.
• Primus Sharilar Mori of ComStar evacuated from Tukayyid.
• Free Worlds League forces under the command of Tamarind Marshall Jeremy Brett counter the nominally Lyran invasion and continue into Lyran space.
• Word of Blake Protectorate expands.
  • 14th Division raids Yorii as FedSun/Lyran forces, they slip bio-warfare agents into water reserves sicking & killing millions. This was secret setup for Blakist forces to rescue and annex the planet.^[4]
• Clan Jade Falcon attacks Lyran Alliance.
• Word of Blake releases a gas attack over Atreus, killing hundreds of thousands, including most of Parliament.
• A Blakist-sponsored insurgency creates chaos on Canopus IV and all HPGs within 60 light-years go down.
• Blakists reveal that the Captain-General of the Free Worlds League is not really Thomas Marik, but an impostor. They also reveal that Sharilar Mori was a Draconis Combine agent and that Anastasius Focht was Frederick Steiner.
• Blakists flood the HPG grid with white noise, backing up transmissions for months.
• Primus Sharilar Mori assassinated.
• Word of Blake fails to take Orestes.
• Kiyomori Minamoto declares himself Gunji-no-Kanrei and temporarily moves the capital to New Samarkand.
• Federated Suns and Draconis Combine become engaged in conflict.
• Word of Blake military Operation: Steel Hammer is launched.^[5]
  • Word of Blake's 2nd Division conducts series of raids against the planet, Donegal. Heavy damage is inflicted to the planet's industries and infrastructure
  • Word of Blake's 16th & 20th Divisions conduct decoy raids against Hesperus II's defenses while inserting combat troops onto the planet as prepration for a planned invasion of the planet.

• January 13th - Cesar Spano is born, he is a future member of the Davion Guards
• June 14th - Lori Kyle is born

• Clan Wolf-in-Exile unveils the Anti-Battle Armor Pod that is used by both the Clans and Inner Sphere.^[6]
• Federated Suns put the Light AC/2 and Light AC/5 into production.
• Researchers from the destroyed NAIS created the Machine Gun Array, which actually sees production with the Taurian Defense Force first.
• Clan Diamond Shark fields the Machine Gun Array.
• Lyran Alliance creates Compact Engine.
• Clan Hell's Horses introduces the Hyper-Assault Gauss Rifle models HAG 20, HAG 30, and HAG 40.
• The former states of the Federated Commonwealth unveil the Compact Gyro around the same time.
• Taurian Concordat produces the first Inner Sphere models of the Heavy Machine Gun.
• Scientists from the Capellan Confederation unveil their Light Machine Gun and Plasma Rifle.
